Every one of Schlage s L-Series locks meets ANSI Grade 1 standards for safety.Classroom Security Holdback Lock: The latchbolt retracts from either side with a turn of the lever unless locked by key. When locked, the latchbolt is retracted by use of a key outside or a turn of the lever inside. An auxiliary latch deadlocks the latchbolt when the door is locked. Depress the interior lever and turn the key 360 degrees to engage the holdback feature. The inside lever is always free for immediate egress.
